Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Cost?

$5 admission, ages 5 and up

$2/stem and $20/dozen

Picking instructions:

Simply grasp the stem as close to the ground as possible and pull straight up.  This ensures a long stem. No problems if the bulb comes out of the ground when you pull it…you can just snap it off.

Caring for your Tulips at Home:

At home, cut the base of the stems cleanly and place your tulips in fresh cold water for a few hours so they can rehydrate and perk up!  You can even throw in a couple of ice cubes.  Keep them out of the direct sunlight to slow the bloom. Refresh with cold water daily for longer life.  Tulips are one of the few flowers that continue to grow after being cut!

What do I need to bring for picking tulips?

No need to bring scissors or clippers.  We do not provide them as they are not needed to pick.

Is it only cash?

No, we accept cards as well.

Are Pets Allowed?

Well behaved dogs are allowed on leash and must be picked up after.

Will you have pre-picked tulip bouquets for purchase?

We will not be offering pre-picked bouquets at this time.

Can I take pictures?

Yes!  That is one of the best parts.  Bring your camera! This is a great backdrop for family, engagement, or any type of photos!  Please stay out of the tulip beds. A site fee and scheduling is required for professional photo shoots. (see below)

What are your professional photography policies & prices

Photographers must purchase a site fee that allows them to schedule their photo shoot during normal business hours. The slots are available for $150/1.5-hours. There will be a maximum of 3 photographers per session.

This site fee includes one entrance ticket for the photographer. The photographer's clients will need to purchase entrance tickets. Tulips may be picked and purchased as well.

$5 admission, ages 5 and up

$2/stem or $20/dozen

Please be aware that for the photography sessions, the field is open to everyone, and we do not have an area that is cornered off for photo shoots. It is important you set the appropriate expectations for your clients and realize there may be customers in your shot.

NOTE: We hope to be in full bloom the 3/19-3/22 and 3/26-3/29 weekends and have opened these days up for photography session bookings. If the field is in bloom the 3/12-3/15 weekend, we will open up these days for photography as well. If the tulips and weather do not cooperate, we can move your session to the 4/2-4/5 weekend.
